An ADHD Natural Remedy is the Answer to Your Child's Problems

An ADHD natural remedy is still regarded as alternative. This is paradoxical when we consider that natural remedies should be the norm and any synthetic chemicals manufactured in a laboratory should be the alternative option!

The Internet as an education tool

If we reflect on the power of the Internet, we can note with some relief that things are now changing and information and awareness are now increasing. The result is that parents are more aware of alternatives such as an ADHD natural remedy and they can make informed choices. They are also much more savvy about ADHD drugs and their potential for causing health problems. In other words, the public is becoming much more educated.

Sensory Integration Disorder

One problem often overlooked when looking at ADHD treatment is how to deal with the very difficult problem of SID (Sensory Integration Disorder) which is a co-morbid condition with ADHD.

This can manifest itself in various ways but the basic problem is that the child cannot distinguish incoming sensory messages. These can range from noises, smells, touch and taste.

Sometimes children just cannot stand the taste of certain foods so diet becomes a real problem. Others cannot stand the sense that the medicines give them or its taste and smell and so on. The reason is that the imbalance in brain chemicals is just not allowing them to make certain distinctions and even the textures of things like fruit and vegetables may be completely unacceptable to the child.

Why ADHD children have difficulty in focusing

It also explains why they cannot focus very well because the brain is flooded with all sorts of messages and sounds all competing for their attention. Now we know why they are having trouble in focussing on a task and why inattentiveness is such a common symptom. Their filter mechanisms are just defective.

It also explains why they are having difficulty in controlling their impulsivity. So, an ADHD natural remedy like an ADHD homeopathic one is ideal in cases like this.

Advantages of ADHD homeopathic remedies.

First, they help the child to remain calmer and more focused because the ingredients are aimed at restoring a rather delicate balance in the brain. Secondly there is no problem of taste or smell as these medicines do not have any and as they are drops they can easily be popped into their favourite beverage. In addition the actual ingredients are all registered in the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS).

I know that the company mentioned m in my website is a FDA registered facility which is just another guarantee that these products are completely safe.

Now that you know that an ADHD natural remedy has so many advantages, why not click through and see for yourself. Then you can make an informed decision about what is right for your child.

Natural Remedies For ADHD

This is our story with natural ADHD remedies. We've tried many alternatives and I would like to share what worked for us. Three out of our five adopted kiddos have either ADHD or ADD including our baby (who has a long list of health concerns). However, it is the sensory integration disorder that makes life difficult in trying to deal with his ADHD. He is sensitive to smells and textures in his mouth. His body will physically reject it. It took us a few tries with different meds before we were aware that he could not swallow his pills.

Honestly, I've tried everything I know by hiding it in different foods. He couldn't swallow, and tasted the bitterness. Then we looked at the patch. It was only available in the stimulant form and came at a cost. Our son became combative when the patch began to wear off. Not good.

I then began to research online homeopathic remedies which led me to several different natural ADHD remedies. We decided to give one a try. All natural ingredients but it took three weeks before results could be seen. So we tried it.

Amazing results. I have just ordered my second bottle. My son is doing great at school and his frustration level is way down. His meds are in droplet form. He will even add the drops to his own beverage, and he drinks it right down. He's happy - - I am thrilled. You might consider doing what we did by looking into one of the natural ADHD remedies.

Autism and Alternative Treatments - 6 Natural Approaches That Can Help

When treatments for Autism are being considered, medication is usually first attempted. For many reasons, including concerns about the side effects of medication, this is changing. More people are searching out natural solutions. Here are some alternative treatments used for Autism.

Nutritional
Autistic children are often sensitive to certain foods. Behavioral problems or meltdowns can occur when these foods are eaten. Sometimes just very small amounts trigger the symptoms. Some diets that have been used to help treat Autism include gluten-free and dairy-free. Rotation diets may also be used to identify the triggers.

Omega 3 Fatty Acids

Omega 3 has been found to be helpful in treating Autism, as well as many other disorders. Omega 3 supplements are claimed to aid in better quality sleep patterns, improved social interaction, and general health and well-being. The most potent forms are found in fish oil which is available in capsule or liquid form. There are many brands which have enhancements that reduce, conceal, or remove the fishy taste.

Music Therapy

Several studies have found music therapy to be very beneficial to the Autistic child. Sometimes an Autistic individual will sing along with music even though they will not speak. Music therapy can be used as a calming tool or a way to help the Autistic person work on skills such as speech, muscle development, or sensory issues. The music can also be beneficial in social interaction through group activities.

Sensory Integration

Autistic individuals can be very sensitive to sounds, tastes, textures, and smells. Sensory integration therapy helps the child to deal with these heightened and often overwhelming responses to their own senses.

Speech Therapy

Speech therapy is important for any child with Autism. Children with Autism usually misuse words, and they often have difficulty understanding the meanings of words. Speech therapists can help teach gestures and communication skills to nonverbal children and can recommend special equipment to help your child communicate.

Play Therapy

Play therapy can be a very useful treatment. Play therapy allows the child to relax and focus on things they enjoy. A therapist will play on the floor with the child and will give the child various toys to see if the child takes a liking to one of them. If the child begins to play the therapist will then try to interact with the child.

After the therapist has formed a relationship with the child they might include other children into play therapy. This can open doors for the child to interact and increase their ability to relate with others. Usually a therapist does the play therapy, however the parent can engage their child in the therapy after they have learned the techniques used.

These are just a few of the many alternative treatments available for Autism. They can also be combined with medication to build a better treatment plan.

Natural ADHD Treatment: Vision Therapy

Not all cases of ADHD are caused by a deficiency in the neurotransmitters dopamine and norepinephrine. New research shows that inattention and the learning disorder problems common in ADHD children may actually be caused by a vision disorder. When this is the case, an ADHD natural treatment called vision therapy might help.

It's easy for undiagnosed vision problems to be mistaken for symptoms of ADHD. Vision problems make it difficult for a child to read for extended periods of time, focus on schoolwork, and achieve high grades. Around 20% of school-aged children are afflicted by different types of undiagnosed vision disorders, even if conventional eye exams show that they have perfect 20/20 vision. The reason behind this is that problems with eye focusing, eye teaming, eye alignment, and visual endurance cannot be detected by the conventional Snellen chart. These can only be identified by comprehensive eye exams that test for visual acuity, visual motor integration, and eye tracking, among other things.

Problematic vision and the ADHD symptoms that come with it may be treated with vision therapy or vision training. This highly individualized treatment program aims to correct visual motor deficiencies caused by a number of factors, including nervous system trauma (i.e., from birth injury or head trauma), delayed sensory-motor development, and genetic factors (i.e., lazy eyes, crossed-eyes). Vision therapy doesn't just focus on the eyes; it re-trains the whole visual system, which also includes the brain and the body. In a sense, it is a type of neurological rehabilitation. Aside from correcting these problems, this treatment also aims to help the child's brain process visual information correctly so that the child can comprehend and react quickly.

Approaches to improving vision vary according to the child's specific problems and the doctor that provides it. Generally speaking, the treatment includes techniques that enhance eye movement control, binocular vision, focusing ability, and eye movement. Computer software and specialized optical devices like therapeutic prisms develop the child's visual endurance and motor skills. During the last leg of the program, the child's new visual skills are continually reinforced and made habitual through repetitive tasks and activities that integrate vision skills with motor skills. These exercises guarantee the long-term effects of the program and the benefits of improved visual performance.

Unlike the traditional medical treatment for ADHD, which involves administering a one-size-fits-all medication, vision therapy is designed around the child's conditions and symptoms, and the parents' goals. As such, the length of vision therapy programs varies from several months to a year. The benefit of this approach is that your child is working towards a goal and towards health benefits that will last for the rest of his or her life. To avail yourself of vision therapy, look for a doctor who specializes in rehabilitating vision disorders or in learning-related vision problems.
